I’m Scott Miller, owner of Argent Data Systems and creator of the Hyperion Hoop, and this blog chronicles some of my personal projects and adventures.  It’s not an official company blog exactly, but most of what I do at Argent ends up in my own projects and a good chunk of what I do for fun eventually winds up in Argent products, so there’s bound to be a lot of overlap.

I’ve been a programming and electronics enthusiast since age 9 or 10.  I started Argent Data Systems in 2004 to sell APRS tracker kits (the original OpenTracker) that I’d designed to test out some protocol ideas.  In 2008 I took it full time, and after the launch of the Hyperion Hoop in 2014 the company shifted gears a bit, doubled in size, and moved to a larger location.

If you want to hear me ramble on for an hour about the hoop and the history of the company, check out my interview with embedded.fm.
